The black comes from 癸, rain. Soft as rain, and just as hard to stop. The ox (丑): steady and patient — you finish what others drop. Virgo is earth: you notice the small things and quietly make them better.

When the Black Ox fights

When you fightYou go cold and quiet.Like frozen ground, when you're angry the words freeze.

How you're misreadPeople call you cold.Even while frozen, you're still thinking inside.

Your strength in a conflictYou bear it for them. You stay through hard times longer than anyone.

What Virgo addsYou point out what's wrong, item by item.Virgo earth makes you more exacting. One thank-you for every fix.

One small stepBefore you freeze: "I can't find the words right now."
